It ONLY happens when I'm cruising or on decel, doesn't seem to occur during accel. Axle wrap described to me is the torque of the engine to the rear drive shaft and diff overcoming the springs and twisting the axle during acceleration sometimes resulting in a 'clunk' when stopping. Known to waste themselves in early mileage like that because the rear four have way too much adjustability and allow the front ones to ride the end of their play. At one point I can see the whole assembly lurch when the bang happens, but couldn't really tell if the axle tubes were rotating or the springs were flexing (axle wrap). That being said, I’m having a noise and was wondering if you any of you have had a similar sound/scenario. I hear it more when I let off the gas around 30 MPH.
